You’ve probably seen the viral Boursin cheese pasta trend by now. This version with crispy prosciutto involves no baking – it’s a one pan dish. The prosciutto, pasta AND Boursin cheese sauce will all be made in the same pan. Enjoy this creamy pasta with a salty crunch from the crispy prosciutto!
Ingredients you will need:
Pasta – I used trofie pasta from Trader Joe’s for this. Any shape will work!
Boursin – If you’re unfamiliar with Boursin, it’s a soft creamy cheese availability in a variety of flavors that can be found in most grocery stores. It melts easily and makes the perfect base for a creamy sauce. The shallot and chive version pairs well with this.
Prosciutto – You’ve probably had prosciutto as an appetizer, but have you tried cooking or baking it? It makes the perfect topping for pasta!
Butter – This is optional. I like to add a little butter to the pan to sauté the shallots in.
Shallots – Compliments the shallot and chive Boursin perfectly. I didn’t add chives here, but it would be a great garnish!
Parmesan cheese – There’s no need for exact measurements here, but you can add about 1/2 cup for extra cheesy goodness.
